District Tate Shield Competition 2003
The Tate Shield competition, an annual incident hike, took place on Saturday 15th November 2003 at Frylands Wood Scout Campsite. The night brought probably the best weather ever known for the event.
The numbers were down this year to just eleven teams with two teams dropping out at the last minute, but with help from some of the District's Explorers, thirteen bases ran. The bases this year included Candle Lighting, Kripton Factor, Crate Walk, Sedan Chair, First Aid, Single Rope Bridge, Giant Stride, Kim's Trail, Spiders Web, Bell Bomb, Bungee Ropes, Log Lift and Minefield.
