Almost 200 Cub Scouts and their Leaders from Sutton District descended on Walton Firs campsite on Friday 5th May 2006 for a weekend of celebration to mark 90 years of Cubs Scouts in the UK. The Cubs got very muddy on the assault course, they navigated their way around a maze and successfully completed the photo-orienteering course, as well as making numerous new friends over impromptu games of football. The highlight of the weekend was the giant 90th birthday party. There was a series of party games including pop the balloon, the flour game and the chocolate game, before a sumptuous party lunch. We were extremely pleased that then Mayors from both Sutton and Elmbridge were able to join us for the birthday party, making the occasion even more special.
