District Cub Mat Ball Competition 2005

The District Cub Mat Ball competition was run on the evenings of Monday 13th June and Tuesday 14th June 2005 in Cheam Recreation Ground. Each Pack in the District was invited to enter one team of six players.

Mat Ball is played with a tennis ball on a pitch 25m long with two goal areas 1m by 1.5m at each end. Goals are scored by passing the ball to a player standing in the goal area. The full Mat Ball rules are available on a separate sheet in PDF format.

The competition was run with two leagues, one on Monday evening and one on Tuesday evening. The top two teams from each league then played in the knockout finals on Tuesday evening. The results were as follows:

8th Cheam and 5th Worcester Park went through to the finals (5th Worcester Park on goal difference).
